Friends of the Fair Volunteer Program

Do you love the Fair?

Volunteer with us! The Friends of the Fair (FOF) is a volunteer committee full of dedicated, friendly people who share their time to help the Wayne County Fair shine. Volunteers are the heart of the Fair and play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience for guests of all ages.

Why volunteer? You’ll help create unforgettable Fair experiences by:

  • Answering Guest Questions
  • Emceeing Contests & Events
  • Working Special Events
  • Providing Hands-on Agricultural Experiences
  • And so much more!

Who can apply? New in 2025, volunteer opportunities are open to high school students ages 14 and up. Teens and adults of any experience level are encouraged to explore opportunities with us! All prospective volunteers will be subject to a background check, additional checks may be added as deemed necessary.

What are the hours? The Wayne County Fair takes place August 4-10, 2025. Volunteer shifts are typically, four hours and generally run: 10:30am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-6:30pm & 6:30pm-10pm.

What types of volunteer roles are there? Choose from exciting opportunities like:

  • Guest Information Booths
  • Cake Wheel
  • Grandstand Events
  • Adult & Youth Contests
  • And so much more!
