DIVISION 7 - FOODS
RULES:
- All entries in this department must be in place by 10:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2007. (click here for Entry Form.) Non-Perishable entries accepted 9am - 5pm, Saturday, August 11, 2007. Judging for Non-Perishables begins 1pm, Sunday, August 12, 2007.
- Judging will begin Monday, August 13 at 10:30 AM.
- Entry fee on all items will be 10% of the first premium to be paid by share-holders as well as others.
- The recipe must accompany each item exhibited and be written on a 3 x 5 card. Your name must not appear on the recipe card or baked food item.
- All items in Division 7, Sections 1-7 and Division 6, Section 5 will be auctioned off after the 4-H Baked Food Sale on Monday, August 13. Proceeds will go to improvements at the Wayne County Fair.
- Cookie and candy specimens should be of uniform size.
- All home canning must be done in jars designed and tempered for this purpose. Jars must be sealed with correct new lids.
- Processing method and time must be with recipe on all canned goods.
