BEEF CATTLE

Entry fees: 10% of first place. (If $20.00 first place then entry fee is $2.00).

Entries due (no exceptions): 6:00 PM Saturday, August 4, 2007

All animals must be in place by 10:00 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2007
Market Class animals weighed at 7:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2007
Judging begins at 3:30 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2007

Bulls over 1 year of age may be brought in on day of show but must be shown off your trailer.

Animals will be released on Saturday, August 18, 2007, after 8:00 PM on a staggered schedule as approved by the barn superintendent.

All animals must be removed by 11:00 PM, Saturday August 18, 2007 to begin clean-up.

Animals must meet all Health Requirements as set forth by the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. RABIES vaccinations MUST be given 14 days before the start of the fair.

  1. The names and number of cattle entered in Sections 7-10 inclusive must be given on the entry blank.
  2. Breeders may exhibit as many animals as they wish in each class, but no family or farm exhibitor will be allowed more than two (2) awards in any one class, unless ownership of these animals is under the name of separate family members.
  3. No animal shall be entered in more than one (1) class, except that animals shown singly will be eligible for entry in the group classes. All animals shown in groups must be shown in appropriate age classes. **(i.e.: a breed class or market class, one animal cannot be entered in both)**
  4. Registration and health papers are to be presented to the superintendent for inspection before unloading at the fairgrounds. These will be returned by the superintendent at the close of the fair.
  5. All bulls over six (6) months must be led with nose ring and halter.
  6. All animals must be tied with halters and neck ties.
  7. (3) banners – 1 each for grand champion female beef, grand champion bull beef and grand champion market animal beef, are donated by Morrisey Farms.
