The 29th Annual Pageant of the Queen
Each year nine young ladies compete for Fair Queen, Princess, attending Court members and Miss Congeniality. This historic annual event has brought national and local attention to the Wayne County Fair. The Queen and her court represent the Fair and the County at local and regional events including an annual Red Wings game at Frontier Field.

2nd Annual Wayne County Fair Apprentice
2008 Apprentice Winner: Jasmine Mead of Palmyra
High school juniors and seniors are invited to compete for the title of Wayne County Fair Apprentice. The winning Apprentice will shadow the Fair Board of Directors during the week of the annual Wayne County Fair and learn how a Fair is organized and run.
Applicants must be a current Junior or Senior, in good academic standing, in a Wayne County High School as of January of the current year. They must review and complete the two-page application linked below, and submit a minimum 300-word, typed essay titled “Why I Want To Be The Wayne County Fair Apprentice”. Applications must be post marked by March 31, 2008.

Don't miss this showcase of our farmers, businesses, animals, activities, and fun. Each day the fair has live musical entertainment, a large mid-way full of games and rides, lots of children's activities, a variety of delicious community-run food booths, two commercial buildings, Grandstand Events like the Demolition Derby & Figure 8 (Click Here for registration) competitions, as well as six days of animal shows and craft exhibits put on by volunteers, local residents & businesses, plus the 4H Clubs of Wayne County.
