New Livestock Barn Opened in 2009

Buy-A-Brick to leave your permanent footprint at the Wayne County Fair, to honor / memorialize loved ones, to show your support and help defray the costs of the new livestock barn!

Cattle Barn I & II, cinder block constructions in 1950, upon to many inspections Buy-A-Brick help defray costs of new barn.
& findings of structural deterioration, were deemed "beyond reasonable repair".
It was decided to replace them with a single, free-span, structure which would
not require a lot of maintance and repairs for many years to come. The delay in
getting the project underway caused the costs to increase to the extent that
a much smaller structure was all that was able to be built with the grant money.

The use of this new building at the 2009 fair was well received! There have been several events held in the building since then, thus proving it to be a wise investment
in the future of the Wayne County Fair. It is expected that the building will be
used by 'outside groups' for events during the months of May through September
providing the local area with more entertainment events.

You may show your support of the fair and help defray the costs of this new
building by purchasing a brick in honor of your family, club, or in memory of a
loved one through the BUY-A-BRICK program.
